As part of the finissage of the exhibition CASTING SHADES AT NEW MOON, Our Own Psalmody is a stage for envisioning new forms of sonic worship, fabulations, and fictions with an emphasis on listening and the voice as primary vehicles of a poetic, spiritual, and political state/experience. Our Own Psalmody features musical and performative acts by artists, poets, DJs, and musicians whose practices and lives invoke other beliefs, new kinships and strive to create a common ground, through dance, words, and music.
