Sam is a digital art experience. As an online friend, Sam reaches out to you via chat and accompanies you through everyday life over the span of a few weeks. Sam was created and written by the artist Florence Jung, developed by interkit, and designed by Current Matters for MGKSiegen.

Through this project, Jung reflects on how technologies construct spaces that are neither real nor fictional but emotional, and how invasive these artifices of intimacy may become. In an era when everyone is a writer on their own device, Jung’s work also represents an experimental approach to literature that continues the artist’s exploration of contemporary angst and its effects on our collective psyche.
